On July 7, 2026, Octozi announced a $3 million seed round led by Surface Ventures. Octozi says its platform integrates with existing clinical systems and automates data cleaning, data review, reconciliation, and reporting while keeping clinical study teams in the loop.

The company also says its software already supports Phase III trials. In a controlled study cited in the release, Octozi says AI assistance increased data-cleaning throughput by about six times, reduced reviewer error rate from 54.7% to 8.5%, and lowered false positive queries by roughly fifteen times.

Why Clinical Development Is Such A Strong Signal

Many agent startups focus on lower-risk workflow acceleration. Clinical development is a different class of problem. The data has to be cleaned and reconciled correctly, the review logic has to reflect clinical context, and the downstream consequences hit regulators, trial timelines, and patient outcomes.
