What Happened

On June 15, 2026, NewCore announced it had emerged from stealth with $66 million to rebuild workforce identity for the agentic era. The company says it is building a single platform to discover, secure, and govern every identity in the enterprise, human and agentic alike.

The most important design claim is direct: AI agents should have their own lifecycle, trust scoring, and revocation path. NewCore also says it ships an Agentic Skill for coding agents including Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor so those systems can authenticate inside an enterprise trust map as first-class actors.

Why This Framework Signal Matters

A lot of agent deployment still assumes that access can be handled with shared secrets, broad tokens, or a borrowed employee identity. That breaks the moment agents become numerous, persistent, and capable of acting across production systems.

NewCore is pointing at the more realistic architecture: agents are a new workforce class, so identity has to model them explicitly. That makes governance a runtime property rather than an after-the-fact audit exercise.

Why The Control Plane Is Shifting

NewCore says its platform is engineered for environments where agentic identities outnumber human ones by two orders of magnitude or more. Whether or not that ratio proves true broadly, the underlying point is sound: identity discovery, revocation, and policy need to scale to a much more dynamic workforce than legacy enterprise stacks expected.
